What a unique stay! The library is very nice with 27,000 books. Loved hanging out in the game room and the two-story library filled with antiques! The animals all around the hotel made it feel like a real escape to nature.

The room was super comfy and spacious, with nicely decorated vibes. I loved the heated massage chair—such a cool touch! It was clean, and you could really relax after a day out. The quiet surroundings added to the chill atmosphere, and I enjoyed listening to the frogs at night. Just a heads up, there’s no Wi-Fi or cell service, so don’t plan on streaming anything.

Perfect for Families Looking for a Classic Retreat
The highlight of our stay was definitely the amazing library with all those books. Really felt relaxed while sitting by the fireside reading, and let me tell ya, my kids adored that playhouse in our room, I couldn’t tear them away from it!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly, worth every penny.

We had a fantastic time enjoying movie nights with the DVD player in our room and visiting the cozy library filled with books. The only thing to keep in mind is the steep drive that caught us off guard, but it was worth it for such a lovely stay! Don't miss out on the homemade breakfast. it’s a great way to start your day! 😊

We explored the beautiful scenery around and even hit the trails for some mountain biking near Snowshoe. The place is perfect for lounging—great library, cozy dining, and stunning views. Loved that there’s no Wi-Fi. it made us unplug and truly enjoy nature. Highly recommend the home-cooked breakfast and roaming the 450-acre farm for some fresh air!
The only downside was the self check-in process, which felt a bit impersonal. It was like being in an Airbnb rather than a hotel, but on the bright side, the innkeeper was super helpful via phone.

The library is simply amazing! With thousands of books to explore, it was the highlight of our stay. We had comfy nights, but the breakfast situation could be better—it's a bit far to walk to Dean's Den. 🌄

Peaceful family escape!
This was such a fun trip with my kids! They loved the game room with arcade machines and a pool table. The library is a gem, 2 floors of books! We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the horses were so sweet at the meet & greet. Just a heads up, it’s a bit remote, so pack snacks for the road.
